Paul Harrod - working hard for you

NEW COUNCIL HOUSING IS MUCH NEEDED

6.09.00pm GMT Mon 11th Jan 2010

Prospective MP Paul Harrod has welcomed news that the Lib Dem administration on Bristol City Council has won more money to build new Council houses in the city.

Over the next few months work will begin building new homes in sites in Lawrence Weston and Lockleaze.

"There is a shortage of Council housing in Bristol, as our stocks have not been properly replenished since previous tenants were given the right to buy" said Paul.

"Local Conservatives have been taking a blanket 'Not in my back yard' approach to all new housing in Bristol which shows how little concern they have for ordinary people on the bottom of the housing ladder. Sadly, some things never change.

"But I am delighted that my colleagues on the Council are making a difference and I look forward to seeing further news on these new developments."
