Vince Cable MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Chancellor, will be holding a public meeting in Bristol on Friday 18th December to discuss the impact of the recession and plans to rebuild the economy.
Dr Cable will also visit local businesses in Horfield and see for himself how they are coping with the recession and restraints in bank lending to small companies.
Paul Harrod, Prospective Liberal Democrat MP for Bristol North West said:
"Vince Cable is highly respected on all sides for his analysis of the current economic crisis and for his proposals for how we rebuild our economy. I am delighted that he is coming to Bristol and will answer questions from local people at a public meeting.
"We have had hundreds of replies to a survey Vince and I did on jobs and taxation and so it is a great opportunity for people to follow up their comments in that survey by speaking to Vince directly."
The meeting will take place in the conference centre of Wills Hall on Parrys Lane, Stoke Bishop from 10.45am to 12 noon on Friday 18th December.
The event is free and open to the public. To reserve a place please email paul@paulharrod.org.uk or call 0117 942 3494
