Bristol North West Lib Dem prospective MP Paul Harrod is working to reduce the impact of the Memorial Stadium expansion on local residents. He has spoken to hundreds of residents who live near the ground and is pressing the Club and the Council to deal with the match day traffic much better than at present, and to enforce existing parking regulations. He is also pressing for more areas to be included in the proposed Controlled parking Zone (CPZ) - if residents want it.
He said "I want to see more fans arrive by public transport. We need a proper park and ride service and to open a new railway station for Horfield & Lockleaze, which would also be available for local people to use".
